The Lahaina/Kaanapali area is located on the west north west side of Maui. It is approximately a 45 min. drive from the Kahului Airport.
The area receives more rain than Kihei, though much of that is evening and mountain showers. It also boasts fine resorts/condos, golf courses, beaches, and shopping! Lahaina is home to the Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Cheeseburger in Paradise and many other “hot” night clubs and restaurants.
If you'll be staying in this area, you'll probably want to consider a boat that departs from Lahaina Harbor.
